Day 1: Connect With Faith!
Today, kids will learn that Jesus is who He says He is and does what He says He will do. Have you experienced personal proof of that principle? Check out these Scriptures that provide reasons to trust Jesus unconditionally:
- Read Hebrews 1:3. Which description of Jesus is your favorite? __________________ .
- In Matthew 28:18, Jesus said all __________________ has been given to Him.
- Revelation 1:5 calls Jesus a __________________ witness.
- Joshua 23:14 says that not one of God’s promises has __________________ .
Connection Challenge: Make a list of specific fears or circumstances you have not fully turned over to Jesus’ authority. Deliberately commit each one to His care.
Day 2: Connect With Love!
In today’s Bible story, a loving action made a stronger statement than spoken words. What actions reveal a deep and sincere love for Jesus? Find several in Scripture:
- Joshua 22:5 ________________________________________________________ .
- Psalm 103:1-2 ______________________________________________________ .
- John 15:12 _________________________________________________________ .
Connection Challenge: Show your love for Jesus by doing an act of kindness for someone who is unlikely or unable to reciprocate.
Day 3: Connect with Trust!
Like Nicodemus, many people are upright, ethical, and religious—but still deeply in need of a Savior!
- Romans 1:21 says that even though they knew about God, they did not __________________ Him nor did they __________________ Him.
- What are some descriptions of our life before Christ as found in Titus 3:3? __________________.
- Now read Titus 3:4-5. How has Jesus rescued you? ______________________________________________________________________ .
Connection Challenge: Jesus has saved us from the habits described above, but all of us continue to struggle with them. Identify the unbelieving thought or habit that troubles you most often. Ask Jesus, your Savior, to show you how to change it permanently.
Day 4: Connect with Others!
Jesus was able to transform an everyday conversation into one that changed a woman’s life. Does talking about spiritual things make you feel uncomfortable or inadequate? Find some tips in 1 Peter 3:15-16:
- Prepare to speak by __________________ .
- Be ready to speak about the __________________ that is in you.
- Always speak with __________________ .
Connection Challenge: Prepare to speak about your Savior by writing out how you became a Christian. Add a sentence or two that describes how Jesus is involved in your life every day. Feeling bold? Share your story online.
Day 5: Connect with Life!
The first Christians were powerful witnesses because they “walked the walk” as well as “talking the talk” (see Acts 2:44-47). What can you do to follow their example?
- 1 Peter 1:15 says you should be holy in __________________ .
- James 1:22 urges Christians to be __________________ , not just __________________ .
- What does 1 John 3:18 say to you? _______________________________________________________________ .
Connection Challenge: Evaluate your everyday work and leisure habits. Is it clear to others that you are a Christian?
